Afghan Tarin Engineering Services Company (#ATES) Associating with our International Partner Società Italiana di Monitoraggio Srl (#SIM Srl.) from Italy proudly announces the signing of a contract with Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation & Livestock (MAIL) of Afghanistan for Consultancy Services as an Implementation Support Consultants (ISC) for Horticulture Value Chain Development Sector Project (HVCDSP), the project is funded by Asian Development Bank (ADB). The Overall Objective of the project is to improve production and value addition of horticultural products in 11 pre-selected provinces (Bamyan, Ghazni, Kabul, Khost, Kunar, Laghman, Logar, Nangarhar, Paktika, Paktya, and Maidan Wardak) where the greatest potential exists for the production of export expansion and import substitution of horticultural crops. The studies will encompass, in particular, the following key elements: 1- Fruits Germplasm collection, propagation of certify plant material. 2- Supply of out of season perishable products improved. 3- Supply of out of season perishable products on the domestic market. 4- Conduct market study for main exported commercial fruits. 5- Support producers traders, agro-processors and other value chain. 6- Prepare five year plan for relaunching of horticulture sector.
